New Europe
Like most other countries, the Baltic States are also suffering from a financial crisis.
A good way to help is go to visit these countries and contribute, even if only in a small way, to the economies of the countries.
And, on return home, spread the message.
We are aware, though, that the Baltic states might seem expensive. But accommodation costs have come down and eating out offers value for money and is often top quality.
Above all, the countries are not overrun with tourists. Feel the space!

The first stage in our re-design is taking shape with the grouping of European countries. We are using the term New Europe to provide a lable for the emerging econimies of what is geographically Eastern Europe. Some of these countries are proud members of the European Union.
The term New Europe is not meant in any disparaging way - far from it. Generally, there is an air of optimism in these countries which is not so apparent in the countries of "Old Europe". There are countries to discover.
We will be expanding our coverage of these countries in due course.
Our initial focus is on the Baltic States: Lithuania, Estonia and Latvia.
